Aehsas Puri

Strategy, Advisory & Dispute Resolution

Aehsas combines rare institutional depth with international academic distinction, a practitioner equally at home in the courtroom and the boardroom.  He brings an uncommon combination of academic rigour and frontline institutional exposure to his practice.

He previously served as a Law Clerk cum Research Associate at the Supreme Court of India and at the Delhi High Court. Aehsas worked across constitutional and regular benches on a wide of matters, including significant commercial disputes, public law challenges, white collar proceedings, arbitration appeals and issues of constitutional importance. This experience has informed a grounded understanding of judicial reasoning and decision-making at the highest level.

He holds a Master of Laws with Distinction from Queen Mary University of London, specialising in Commercial and Corporate Law, a credential that frames his practice in the doctrinal precision that complex commercial matters demand. He also convened the inaugural Commercial Law Forum on Geoeconomic Shocks, Risks and Sanctions in London, bringing together leading practitioners from international law firms.

His practice is built on the intersection of strategic advisory, disputes, high-stakes litigation and regulatory-facing matters. He has advised on hostile acquisitions in the 500–1000 crore range, analysing takeover law, commercial violations, and regulatory infractions. He has worked across multi-counsel teams in high-value disputes involving energy, construction, JV’s, white-collar matters, and regularly collaborates with Indian and international counsel on cross-border issues. He has also been appointed as an Arbitrator pursuant to orders of the Delhi High Court.

Aehsas appears before the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court, with a focus on commercial disputes, regulatory matters, and select family and private client litigation. He also advises businesses expanding into India, bringing together an international commercial perspective and domestic institutional insight.
