Gayatri Badhwar Puri

Gayatri Badhwar Puri is a dispute resolution practitioner and mediator with over fifteen years of independent practice, specialising in Family and Matrimonial Law, Criminal Litigation, and Mediation, appearing before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, and other High Courts and Tribunals across India.

 

She founded her chambers in 2009 and has since built a practice known for its combination of rigorous advocacy and sensitive client management in matters where personal, financial, and reputational consequences converge. Her litigation practice spans high-stakes matrimonial disputes, custody and guardianship matters, domestic violence proceedings, and related criminal litigation. As a mediator, she has one of the strongest credentials and track records in resolving complex disputes at both pre-litigation and court-referred stages, including matters involving significant financial complexity and multi-party interests.

 

She serves as Standing Counsel for the Delhi High Court and is engaged with the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee, reflecting her institutional standing within the legal community and her commitment to access to justice. She has served as a Member Executive of the Delhi High Court Bar Association from 2022 to 2025. She is also empanelled as an Arbitrator with the Delhi International Arbitration Centre, where she has adjudicated commercial disputes across sectors.

 

Beyond her practice, she has given guest lectures at Jindal Global Law School on the role of mediators in dispute resolution, provided legal opinions on national television, including Zee News, and has been actively involved in legal awareness initiatives on matrimonial law, workplace harassment, and mental health within the legal profession, alongside members of the judiciary and senior practitioners.
